15 Steps To A Sacred Sabbatical

Recently, I had an opportunity to do something I’ve wanted to do for years. I unplugged from all three of my businesses and stepped off the grid for 10 weeks.  No social media, no emails to my list and no meetings, networking or events. I woke without […]

My Brain, Your Business

Read Time: 3 minutes

A few quick question for you to ponder…

  • Are you are sitting on a gold mine of a business, but need help turning the vision into reality?
  • Can you see the vision, but not 100% sure of the path that will take you there?
  • Do you think it would be cool to have not just my brain, but my entire team’s brain, on your business to accelerate your success?

[…]

Managing A Rock Star Virtual Team

Read Time: 6 minutes

I’ve noticed a theme, in my client coaching sessions, that I sense is important for you to hear.

The bigger your vision, the more things need to get done and the more crucial it is to have a fantastic support team. A great team allows you to focus on your Zones of Genius – doing what you love and creating BIG results.

Thing is, most entrepreneurs have never been taught to build and lead a team – let alone do so virtually.

After selling our first business, where I had 22 employees, a two story building and a ton of Human Resource headaches and expenses, Mario and I swore to “Go Lean or Go Home,” from that point forward. So, suffice it to say that since that day, I’ve had to get really good at attracting, building and leading a virtual support team, and today I am blessed with an unstoppable team. […]

Mastering The Mastermind Experience – Part 1

brain-imageLet’s face it, this entrepreneurial journey can be a lonely path. Confusion, worry, overwhelm and doubt run side-by-side with fun, exhilaration, passion and purposefulness. Unless you’ve actually gone to school to learn all this stuff, figuring it all out can be a pretty daunting task.

Enter… the Mastermind Experience! When it’s done right, it’s “business school on steroids.” When it’s not done right, it can drain the member’s reserves – both emotionally and financially. I know because I’ve invested in my fair share of masterminds. While some managed to deliver value, much of what I took away is what I did not want to do within my own mastermind offer.

Day 22 – Follow Through or Fall Short!

follow throughI had a conversation with a friend and fellow entrepreneur that has remained with me. She was sharing how much she has loved the Finish Strong blogs I’ve been writing.  What I discovered was very revealing and on the off chance her story is yours, I wanted to share it with you today…

Her: I LOVE the finish Strong Challenge. Your writing is so easy to read and real.

Me: Wow, thank you for sharing that. I’m so glad you like them. Was there one in particular that you found helpful? […]

Day 16 – Plan Your Year Around What Matters Most

Eagle Eye ViewCongratulations Finish Strong Friends! We’ve passed the halfway mark on our journey to our best year yet. In celebration of all we’ve accomplished I want to take a moment to look back over the past few weeks and revel in just how far we’ve come. Day 15 – “I Quit!” and other stupid things we do to sabotage our success

Ahhhhhhh!!On this 15th Day of the Finish Strong Challenge I’m thinking about YOU – you and the hundreds of people on this Finish Strong Journey.

Are you among those who are still in the game, completing the exercises and preparing for your best year yet? Or did you start off strong, commit to play full out and then lose steam somewhere along the way? Perhaps you checked out a blog, thought it was a good idea, but never got back to doing it.

I ask because (true confession), today I felt like quitting. My inbox is full. My team is waiting for a few items from me, I’ve got two potential clients I want to get back to and well… it’s Friday.  ;0) […]

Day 14 – Move Your Mission Into a Plan

magic-wandGrowing your business can be a twisting and turbulent ride on the roller coaster of entrepreneurship or a smooth and thrilling journey on the Orient Express, straight to your destination.  What determines your path is the degree to which you embrace the power of planning. Whether you love to plan or avoid it at all cost, the tool I am about to share will bring you a sense of control and instantly reduce any sense of overwhelm you may be feeling.

Over the past 4 blogs we’ve been focusing on what you want to have happen in the year ahead— feels good right?  Well, today we’re going to continue our exploration of how you’re going to get there.  To do this, we are going […]

Day 12 – Harness the Magic of Vision Scanning

Scanned VisionOn Day 11 of the Finish Strong Challenge, I invited you to go on a Vision Quest with me.  This is hands down, the most important step you can take in your journey toward creating an extraordinary 2016.

A Vision Quest is a process I’ve used for decades, now my private clients complete it to set them up for a remarkably profitable year.  Not only does it help you get clear and connected to the year you want to live, it’s also an opportunity to dawn your superpowers cape and think boldly about what a truly kick-ass year would look like.

OK… first let’s harness the power of a little P-D-A!

Day 14: Beyond Procrastination – How to take action when you feel blocked

Welcome to day 14 of “30 Days Behind the Curtain with Jane.”

breakthrough1Yesterday, I pulled back the curtain on the three faces of procrastination that I experience in my life and business.

I shared that when I find myself not taking action one of three things is afoot… intuitive procrastination, avoidance procrastination or fear-based procrastination.
(Click here to read this blog.)

Today I’m sharing a few of the strategies I lean into when I find myself feeling blocked, uninspired or flat out freaked!

  • I look at “it” with a team member. Often, simply talking with another person about the fact that I’m feeling blocked, brings it into perspective and I am able to see the root cause. The act of saying, “I’m feeling blocked around…” opens my own eyes to what’s really at play and gives the other permission to see what I may not see. […]
